New York's Scribner Hollow Lodge

New York's Hunter Mountain

Hunter Mountain

A two-and-a-half hour drive from Manhattan, and one hour south of Albany, Hunter Mountain is an easy escape for sports enthusiasts and nature lovers.

An Escape For Any Season
Hunter Mountain's ski area has a vertical drop of 1,600 feet and you'll ski ride over 230 acres on 53 trails with more variety than you can handle in a day or two or more.

The lifts are fast, with a carrying capacity of nearly 15,500 skiers per hour. Hunter promises powder every day with its prodigious snow-making capabilities.

In the summer time hiking, mountain-biking, fishing, camping, golfing, and fishing are the popular outdoor activities. The mountain opens for mountain biking on the first of July every year.

Hunter Mountain Skyride

Hunter Mountain Skyride
The 5500 foot long Skyride takes you up 1600 vertical feet to the summit elevation of 3200 feet
above sea level. From this commanding vista you can see the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts, the Green Mountains in Vermont, and the beautiful Catskill as you've never seen them.

New York's Scribner Hollow Lodge
New York's Scribner Hollow Lodge has a number of exciting events each fall and winter season including wine tasting dinners and foliage packages.

Scribner Hollow Lodge's rooms and suites are individually decorated, with cathedral ceilings, exposed wood beams, fireplaces and patio doors to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

Adding further to the lodge's appeal is its prime location just yards from the base of Hunter Mountain and minutes from sports and activities that draw travelers year-round. Visitors seeking art and culture can enjoy tours of the great Hudson Valley mansions, including Olana, the restored home of painter Frederick Church; and antiquing in Hudson and Woodstock, an art colony world-famous for its charming shops and galleries.
