Mexican Adventure Honeymoons
Mexican
Honeymoon Adventure

Copper Canyon Nobody ever forgets their honeymoon, but why not make
yours all the more memorable and romantic by doing something really special. A
romantic train journey through the biggest canyon in North America -- the Copper
Canyon. Located in the northwestern Mexican States of Chihuahua and Sinaloa,
about 250 miles south of Arizona, the rugged beauty of this 900-square-mile
region is unparalleled.
By far, the
best way to experience the Copper Canyon is by the Chihuahua-Pacifico Railroad
which crosses over the Sierra Madre mountain range to the Sea of Cortes. It is
one of the most outstanding achievements of railway engineering in the
world.
At
Batopilas Canyon, newlyweds can experience a turn-of-the-century honeymoon at
the restored Victorian-style Copper Canyon Rivers Inn. The former home
of a wealthy mining family, this mansion is filled with period antiques,
gleaming tile work, finely detailed wall stenciling and lovely gardens. The
inn's 15 comfortable rooms feature balconies overlooking the small town.
Not for the Faint of Heart Keep in mind that
travel to this region is not for the faint of heart. Conditions are rustic and
climates can change dramatically from very hot to very cold. Also, there is an
abundance of reptiles and other wildlife, and in some parts insects.
